Vantage Point was designed to help students struggling with a wide range of emotional issues, behavioral challenges, and learning disabilities. Adolescents and young adults who struggle with emotional and behavioral problems often have undiagnosed learning disabilities or cognitive issues. Common challenges that a Vantage Point student faces may include:

Learning disabilities, ADD/ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), emotional issues, and behavioral challenges often make life as an an adolescent or young adults arduous and stressful.  Unfortunately, some adolescents deal with this stress in unhealthy ways. A Vantage Point by Aspiro student may display coping patterns and behaviors including:
  • Unhealthy hygiene
  • Unhealthy eating habits
  • Excessive video game or electronic use
  • Computer or internet addictions
  • Impulsivity
  • Verbal aggression
  • Parent-child conflict
  • Academic difficulty
  • Limited or no true friendships
  • Poor organizational skills
  • Cognitive Rigidity (black and white thought process)
Vantage Point by Aspiro is the perfect place to clarify your child’s issues with learning disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADD, ADHD, etc. and create a plan for intervention and success. Identifying undiscovered roadblocks is essential for intervention and future success. Exclusions Each potential student application is carefully evaluated. All applicants who can safely participate in a base camp/adventure therapy experience are considered. As such, students who could potentially present safety issues for themselves or others in a wilderness therapy program may not be a good fit for Vantage Point by Aspiro. The following conditions usually warrant further evaluation before accepting a student:
  • Antisocial tendencies
  • Dissociataive Disorders
  • Significant suicide risk
  • History of or tendency toward violence
  • Intermittent Explosive Disorder
  • Personality Disorders
  • Psychosis
  • Severe active eating disorders
